Using Clover Flex with eHopper

 

Overview

The Clover Flex terminal integrates with eHopper as a semi integrated solution for accepting card payments for Canadian Freedom or OmniChannel customers.

 

Requirements

  • Can only use Clover Flex with eHopper if located in Canada. 
  • Clover flex can only connect with eHopper on Windows PC and Android devices. 
  • Must have Freedom or OmniChannel package to use Clover Flex or any other card reader as a payment processor with eHopper POS.

 

Setup on Clover Flex Device

1. Set up Wi-Fi on your Clover Flex device by selecting the Settings icon--->Wi-Fi--->selecting your network.

2. Select the More Tools icon.

3. Search for and select the Secure Network Pay Display app.

4. Select Connect to download the app.

5. Open the Secure Network Pay Display app and find the device's IP address as seen in the image below (this will be entered later in POS Settings).

Setup in eHopper

Back Office

1. In Back Office, open the left menu and go to Apps--->App Directory--->install Credit/Debit POS integration App

2. In the left menu, go to Settings--->Company Settings--->select store that setting up Clover Flex on--->select Contacts tab

3. In the Country drop-down field, select Canada

4. In the left menu, select Settings--->Store Settings--->select store that setting up Clover Flex on--->select Contacts tab.

5. In the Country drop-down field, select Canada

6. Select Payment Gateway tab and in the Payment Gateway drop-down menu--->select Clover Flex (Canada only).

7. Select the Done button to save settings. 

 

POS

1. Log in to eHopper POS.

2. Open the left menu and select Synchronize

3. In the left menu, go to Settings--->Terminal Setup--->select Add Terminal button.

4. On the Add new terminal screen, input the IP address of the Clover Flex device (found in Secure Network Pay Display) in the IP Address field. Remain on this screen.

  • If using a Windows device, click Accept Certificate after entering IP Address.

  • After accepting the certificate on Windows, a file will open. Save the file.

5. On the 'Secure Network Pay Display' screen on the Clover Flex device, select the Start button.

6. On the Clover flex, select the 3 lines in the top left corner to open the menu.

7. Then, on the Clover flex, select Settings in the menu--->select the Enable Development Certificate checkbox.

8. In eHopper POS, select the Add Terminal button on the Add new terminal screen.

9. On the Clover Flex device, you will be prompted to enter your Manager Passcode to begin the pairing with the POS. Enter the code.

10. In eHopper POS, on the Add new terminal screen, it will display a 4 digit pairing code.

11. You will be prompted to enter the pairing code on the Enter Pairing Code screen on your Clover Flex device. Enter the code as seen on the Add new terminal screen in POS.

12. Select Done on the Terminal Setup screen in eHopper POS. 

 

Additional Notes

1. Your pairing code will expire every 30 days. When this occurs, the Add new terminal popup will appear after synchronizing in POS.

2. You will be prompted to enter the pairing code on the Enter Pairing Code screen on your Clover Flex device. Enter the code as seen on the Add new terminal screen in POS.

  • Your pairing code is now renewed. Repeat these steps each time it expires in order to ensure your Clover Flex integrates with eHopper. 

 

Using Clover Flex with eHopper

1. After selecting one or more product(s) in the catalog, click on the green All Payments button on the bottom left of the screen.

2. Select Credit Card as the payment method.

 

3. On the Credit Card Payment screen, select the Process button.

4. Swipe/insert the card on your Clover Flex terminal.
