Clock In/Clock Out

To enable Time Clock:

1. In the Back Office, click on 'App Store' in left navigation menu and Install the Clock In/Clock Out app from the App Directory.

2. Confirm the installation of the app by tapping on the Install button.

 

 

 

Once the Clock In /Clock Out application is installed:

  • The Time Clock option will appear in the Employees section of the Back Office left navigation menu.
  • Clock In and Clock Out buttons will appear on the login page of eHopper.

Manage Time Clock Report

The Time Clock Report page shows the time allotted by employees that are clocked in.

This page can be viewed by:

  • Sales Manager
  • Back Office Operator
  • Administrator

On this page, the Sales Manager can:

  • View allotted time of Employees
  • Filter allotted time of Employees
  • Sort allotted time of Employees
  • Edit allotted time of Employees
  • Add allotted time of Employees
  • Delete allotted time of Employees

Clock In and Clock Out Events

The Time Clock report shows all of the Clock In and Clock Out events received from all active registers.

Using this data, eHopper automatically builds a list of allotted time for each employee.

Clock In and Clock Out occurrences are initiated manually by an employee at the login page of eHopper.

Working Session

The Working Session is the period of time an employee is clocked in and clocked out. A Working Session can be labeled as Complete or Incomplete. A Working Session is considered completed when there is both a Clock In and Clock Out time listed. It is considered incomplete if it is missing one of these two times.

The features of Working Session include:

  • Employee (required) – The employee the session belongs to.
  • Clock In Time (either Clock In time or Clock Out time is required) – The time when the employee has clocked in.
  • Clock Out Time (either Clock In time or Clock Out time is required) – The time when the employee has clocked out.
  • Clock In Register (optional) – Register where the employee has clocked in.
  • Clock Out Register (optional) – Register where the employee has clocked out.
  • Hours (required) – Duration of a session in hours, calculated as Clock Out Time -Clock In Time. The hours for incomplete working sessions will be 0.00.

Filter Working Sessions

Sales Manager can apply filters to the list of sessions shown on Time Clock Report screen.

The available filters are:

  • Register
  • Employee
  • Period

Once you select a specific register in the Registers filter, only those sessions where either Clock In or Clock Out was performed on this register are shown.

 

If you select a specific employee with the employees filter, sessions that belong only to the selected employee are shown.

 

When you select a specific period in the period filter:

  • For completed working sessions, only sessions where the session period overlaps with selected period are shown.
  • For incomplete working sessions with only Clock In time, only sessions where Clock In Time is within the selected period are shown.
  • For incomplete working sessions with only Clock Out time, only sessions where Clock Out Time is within the selected period are shown.

Sort Working Sessions

You can sort working sessions by any column on the Time Clock grid. To sort the list of Working Sessions by the specific column, tap or click on the header of the column. To change the sorting order (ascending and descending), tap or click on the column header once again.

Edit Working Sessions

A sales manager can edit an employee’s working session on Time Clock Report page.

Sales Manager can also update:

  • Employee the working session is attached to
  • Update Employee’s Clock In Time
  • Update Employee’s Clock Out Time
  • Update Employee’s Clock In Register
  • Update Employee’s Clock Out Register

The hours of the working session are calculated automatically after updating the working session.

Once you edit the working session, the recalculation of all listed working sessions is done.

Add Working Session

Sales Manager can add an employee’s working session on Time Clock Report page.

To add a new working session, the Sales Manager must:

  • Tap/Click on the + button located under the working sessions grid
  • In the newly added record, select Employee
  • Select Clock In Time
  • If you wish to, select Clock In Register
  • Select Clock Out Time
  • If you wish to, select Clock Out Register

The hours of the working session are calculated automatically after adding the working session.

Delete Working Session

A Sales Manager can delete an employee’s working session in the Time Clock Report page.

To delete a working session, tap or click on the X button that corresponds with the desired record on the grid.

POS

To Clock In/Clock Out on the POS, the Clock In/Clock Out app should be installed via the App Directory in Back Office.

After the Clock In/Clock Out app has been installed successfully, Sales Person can do Clock In and Clock Out on the Login page of eHopper POS.

Clock In and Clock Out is available for the following employee roles:

  • Sales Person
  • Sales Manager
  • Administrator

To Clock In:

  • Input PIN on the login page of POS.
  • Tap on the ‘Clock In’ button.
  • If Clock In was successful, you will be notified.

 

To Clock Out User needs:

  • Input PIN on the login page of POS.
  • Tap on the ‘Clock Out’ button.
  • If Clock Out was successful, you will be notified.

 

User can do several sequential Clock Ins and Clock Outs.
