1. Star TSP100 LAN

1.1 Connecting Star TSP100 LAN

  1. Connect Printer to power supply.
  2. Switch printer ON.

1.2 Setting Up Star TSP100 Printer As Receipt and Kitchen Printer

  1. Open eHopper application
  2. Tap on printer Setup in left navigation menu
  3. On printer settings screen, tap ‘Search for Printer’
  4. In the Receipt Printers list, select Star TSP100 LAN printer to use for receipts
  5. Define the receipt paper width.
  6. Print test page to be sure receipt printer is set up properly.
  7. In the Kitchen Printers list, select Star TSP100 LAN printer to use for kitchen receipts.
  8. Define the kitchen receipt paper width.
  9. Print test page to be sure kitchen printer is set up properly.
  10. Confirm your printer settings via tap on ‘DONE’.
  11. Printer is ready for usage in application.

2. Star Bluetooth Portable Printer SM-T300

2.1 Connecting Star Bluetooth Portable Printer SM-T300

  1. Switch printer ON via press on Power button.
  2. Go to Settings on tablet and switch Bluetooth ON.
  3. Scan Bluetooth devices and select Star Bluetooth Portable Printer SM-T300 to pair with tablet device.

2.2 Setting up Star Bluetooth Portable Printer SM-T300

If printing the test page was unsuccessful:

  • Re-initialize your printer (instructions below)
  • Reconnect the printer (refer to Section 2.1 - Connecting Star Bluetooth Portable Printer SM-T300)
  • Perform steps 1-6

Re-Initialization of Printer

To initialize the memory switch settings:

  • Turn on the printer and open the printer cover.
  • Press and hold the Power and Feed buttons simultaneously until the Error lamp flashes five times. Continue to hold both buttons until the buzzer sounds five times. Once both the Power light and the Error light flash, the memory initialization has been completed.
  • Set the paper inside of the printer, then close the printer cover.
  • The printer should print out "Memory SW was initialized” to confirm the initialization was successful.

3. Star Bluetooth TSP650II

3.1 Connecting Star Bluetooth TSP650II

  1. Switch Printer ON.
  2. Open Bluetooth Settings on tablet.
  3. Press on Pair button on back panel of Printer.
  4. After green indicator starts to blink scan for Bluetooth devices in tablet settings.
  5. Select to pair tablet with Star Bluetooth TSP650II.

3.2 Setting up Star Bluetooth TSP650II

  1. Open eHopper application.
  2. Tap 'Printer Setup' in left navigation menu.
  3. On printer settings screen tap ‘Search for Printer’.
  4. In the Receipt Printers list select Star Bluetooth TSP650II to use for receipts
  5. Define the receipt paper width.
  6. Print test page to be sure receipt printer is set up properly.
  7. In the Kitchen Printers list select Star Bluetooth TSP650II to use for kitchen receipts.
  8. Define the kitchen receipt paper width.
  9. Print test page to be sure kitchen printer is set up properly.
  10. Confirm your printer settings tap ‘DONE’.
  11. Printer is ready for usage in application.

4. Cash Drawer MS CF-405 W/Media Slots

4.1 Connecting Cash Drawer MS CF-405

  1. Connect Cash Drawer to the Star Printer via RJ12 connector. (You can use either Star TSP100 LAN or Star Bluetooth TSP650II Printer to connect Cash Drawer).
  2. Cash Drawer is ready to operate.

4.2 Cash Drawer MS CF-405 

  1. Open eHopper POS.
  2. Select Cash drawer setup in left navigation menu.
  3. Tap ‘Search for Printer’.
  4. In the Printers list select printer Cash drawer is connected to. Do open cash drawer test to be sure cash drawer is set up properly.
  5. To confirm your cash drawer settings tap ‘DONE’.
  6. Your cash drawer is ready for usage in application.

5. Socket Mobile 2D scanner

  1. Install SocketScan 10 application.
  2. Unpair the scanner and device.
    • To do this press simultaneously On/Off button and Scan button on scanner.
    • There should be ‘unpair’ beep .
  3. Switch scanner Off.
  4. Switch scanner On.
  5. Go to Settings on device.
  6. Switch Bluetooth ON in Settings.
  7. Go to Language & Input in Settings.
  8. Switch SocketScan 10 ON.
  9. Set Default input method SocketScan 10.
  10. Open SocketScan 10 application.
  11. Tap on button in right bottom corner.
  12. Select Socket EZ Pair.
  13. Tap ‘On screen’ button.
  14. Tap ‘2D Scanner’ button.
  15. Scan 2D barcode with 2D scanner.
  16. View the Bluetooth pairing request.
  17. In the popover Tap ‘OK’ to pair
  18. View notification that scanner is connected in the left upper corner of device
  19. Go to to Settings, tap ‘Language & input’.
  20. Swith off SocketScan 10.
  21. Restart eHopper application.
  22. Scan bar code on Shopping Cart screen.
  23. View scanned bar code in Search for product input field.

6. Socket Mobile 1D Scanner

  1. Steps 1-13 as described in section ‘Initializing Socket Mobile 2D scanner’.
  2. Tap ‘1D Scanner’ button.
  3. Tap ‘Scan 1D barcode with 1D scanner’.
  4. Steps 16-23 as described in section ‘Initializing Socket Mobile 2D scanner’.

7. IDTech Unimag Pro Headphone Jack

  1. Check that the audio volume on tablet is set on maximum value.
  2. Insert IDTech Unimag Pro into the Headphone Jack of the device.
  3. Card Reader is ready to work.

Note: In case card reader doesn’t read the card, Logout and Login to eHopper.

8. IDTech Shuttle Headphone Jack

  1. Check that the audio volume on tablet is set on maximum value.
  2. Insert IDTech Shuttle into the Headphone Jack of the device.
  3. Card Reader is ready to work.

Note: In case card reader doesn’t read the card, make Logout and Login to eHopper.

9. DEFTUN MSR90 USB Magnetic Card Reader

  1. Connect DEFTUN MSR90 to hub via the USB cable.
  2. Card Reader is ready to work.

Note: In case card reader doesn’t read the card, Logout and Login to eHopper.

10. MAGTEK Dynamag USB Powered

  1. Connect MAGTEK Dynamag to hub via the USB cable.
  2. Card Reader is ready to work.
